Famous writer Arthur Nicholas Evans dies

Journalist and writer Arthur Nicholas Evans has died at the age of 72. His agency confirmed the author’s death today.

WHO IS NICHOLAS EVANS?

According to Haber Global; Nicholas Evans was born in Worcestershire in 1950. He studied law at Oxford University and graduated with first class honors. Before moving to television, he worked as a journalist for the Evening Chronicle in Newcastle. Evans has made films about US politics and the Middle East for Weekend World’s current affairs series.

While living in the south-west of England, Evans met a blacksmith and learned that whispering to horses could heal traumatized horses, resulting in his bestselling book, which has been translated into 36 languages.

Continuing to produce literary works after The Horse Whisperer, Evans came back from the brink of death with his family in 2008. Evans and his family had been severely poisoned by the fungus. The author, singer-songwriter wife Charlotte, along with her brother and aunt suffered kidney failure and was on dialysis after the incident.

Evans survived after being on the waiting list for nearly three years, when his only daughter gave him one of his kidneys.

Moreover, it was Evans himself who harvested the mushrooms from his brother-in-law’s 13,000-acre Scottish Highlands estate and then cooked it for his family.
