Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of rock and roll legend Elvis, has died at the age of 54.
Priscilla Presley gave the news of her death with the message, “It is with sadness that I have to share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter, Lisa Marie, has passed away.”
Lisa Marie was admitted to the hospital early Thursday.
It was reported in the US media that Presley, 54, had a heart attack.
Sources informing TMZ site said that Lisa Marie was found unresponsive at her home in Calabasas, California.
“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known,” Priscilla Presley said of her daughter.
Anne Presley said, “We ask for privacy as we try to cope with this profound loss.” she also shared her message.
Sources close to the family, who gave information to TMZ site, stated that Lisa Marie’s heart did not beat when it was found.
Presley last attended the Golden Globe Awards in Beverley Hills on Tuesday night.
On the night he came with his mother, he watched Austin Butler win the Best Actor award for his role as his father.
He watched in tears as Butler thanked the Presley family.
Born in 1968, Lisa Marie followed in her father’s footsteps and pursued a career in music.
Among the three albums he released, his first album, released in 2003, sold hundreds of thousands of copies and received positive reviews.
The star name was also talked about through a marriage to pop legend Michael Jackson, actor Nicholas Cage, and musicians Danny Keough and Michael Lockwood.
Benjamin Keough, the son of his three children, committed suicide in 2020.
Elvis Presley died of a heart attack in 1977 at the age of 42.
Lisa Marie was 9 years old when her father died.
