UEFA Champions League 2022-2023 season group draws were drawn in Istanbul.
The draw, held at the Haliç Congress Center, was held by UEFA Deputy Secretary General Giorgio Marchetti, former national football player and Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Board Member Hamit Altıntop, and former Ivory Coast national football player Yaya Toure.
The most striking pairings took place in Group C. Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Inter and Viktoria Plzen were matched in Group C.

The top two teams in the group will advance to the round.
The teams that will take the first two places in 8 groups in the Champions League will have their names written in the last 16 rounds.
Those who complete their group in third place will continue on their way to the UEFA Europa League. In the “Giants League”, the teams will continue on their way by winning the matches to be played with the two-match elimination method as of the last 16 round.
The final of the 2022-2023 season will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, hosted by Istanbul.

Legendary Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi received the UEFA Special of the Year award.
Carlo Ancelotti, who led Real Madrid to the Champions League title last year, was named Coach of the Year.
UEFA FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR AWARD TO KARIM BENZEMA
Karim Benzema, who had an important share in Real Madrid’s championship, became the Footballer of the Year. The French player scored 27 goals in the Spanish League last year, and 15 goals in the Champions League, 10 of which were eliminations.
