Beşiktaş midfielder Josef de Souza argued that the red card he saw after the away match of MKE Ankaragücü in the 5th week of Spor Toto Super League and the 1 match penalty he received were unfair. Josef shed tears at the press conference. Expressing that he had a very difficult and sad week, Josef said that he was disappointed with the decision.

Expressing that he loves Turkey with his family, Josef couldn’t hold back his tears while describing his feelings of insecurity after what happened.

The experienced football player announced that he will leave next season in his social media account:

“I am sure that a similar event will happen again and I will display the same attitude again. We will do our best this season and try to make Beşiktaş champions again. But staying here for next season doesn’t make me feel safe as I will react the same if this kind of thing happens again. Because I know that because of my character, I will not accept the aggression against my teammates and I will be punished again. That’s why I can’t stay in a league where I don’t feel safe, even if it hurts my heart to say it.”
