A warrant was issued for Mehmet Ali Erbil, who was asked to be imprisoned for a total of 8 years and 10 months, for allegedly harassing and threatening the singer Ece Ronay Bilir, whom he played in the video, on the grounds that he did not attend the hearing. Erbil’s elder brother Mustafa Erbil and his assistant were heard as witnesses at the trial.
At the hearing held at the Anadolu 67th Criminal Court of First Instance, the lawyers of the parties were present. Mehmet Ali Erbil’s lawyer stated that his client could not attend the hearing due to his morning sickness, while the complainant Ece Ronay Bilir did not attend the hearing.

Erbil’s elder brother Mustafa Erbil was heard as a witness at the trial.
Erbil said that he witnessed a phone conversation between his brother and the complainant. “I heard that my brother Mehmet Ali received an invitation. I asked him how he was going to go. I said go with the driver, it’s a very far place, don’t go alone. When the other party said, ‘come alone,’ I said ‘don’t go’, so I left. I have no manners. After the phone call, Mehmet Ali Bey asked his assistant, ‘They are calling me. Should I go or not?’, he said, I heard the conversation. I don’t remember how I heard the conversations.” said.
“I WROTE THE MESSAGE”
Nuray Kaya, Mehmet Ali Erbil’s assistant, also testified as a witness, “The lady reached out to Mehmet Ali Erbil on Instagram and made an offer to play in the music video. Mehmet Ali Erbil accepted the offer. The first clip was shot. After the shooting of the second clip, they invited him to dinner as a team. Then they gave up. Madam, Mehmet Ali Erbil’s only song I said, ‘Don’t go alone.’ I bought it, I texted him, ‘Come if you want it so much, sleep in my bosom tonight’. He sent a few more inappropriate photos. The next day he revealed the messages” said.

The judge adjourned the hearing, deciding to bring the accused Mehmet Ali Erbil by force, despite the duly served notice, and to send a notification to Ece Ronay Bilir’s current address.
FROM THE CLAIM
In the indictment prepared by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was stated that Mehmet Ali Erbil’s messages were insulting in a way that would harm the personal rights of Ece Ronay Bilir, while another message constituted the crime of ‘threat’.
It was requested that the accused Mehmet Ali Erbil be sentenced to imprisonment from 1 year 11 months 15 days to 8 years and 10 months on charges of ‘Sexual harassment through electronic communication’, ‘Insulting with a voice-written or video message’ and ‘Threatened’.
