Collaboration between Vestel and USA’s Xperi for Europe’s TV

Vestel shook hands with the US holding

local technology company Vestelsigned a cooperation agreement with the US-based Xperi Holding at IFA Berlin. According to the agreement, TİVo, one of the subsidiaries of Xperi, will be offered to the users with the televisions produced by Vestel. Smart TVs, which include the platform that offers users access to different content, are planned to be brought to Turkey after being put on sale in Europe in 2023.

The signing ceremony, which was held with the participation of Vestel CEO Turan Erdoğan and Xperi Holding CEO Jon Kirchner, was held at the consumer electronics fair IFA 2022, which started in Berlin, Germany. According to the agreement, TİVo, which operates under the US-based Xperi Holding umbrella, will be integrated into Vestel’s smart televisions offered for sale in Europe. TİVo, a new generation content platform that offers viewers content and live interaction experience according to their interests, is expected to contribute to Vestel’s TV sales force in Europe.

Vestel CEO Turan Erdoğan made a statement on the subject: “We are the leader of the TV market in our country and one of the top 3 players in the market in Europe. In order to maintain and increase this position, we focus on the content area, as well as producing technologies that will meet the expectations of the consumers. We believe that we will meet the expectations of European consumers, especially with the cooperation of TİVo”.

IN BERLIN WITH ITS NEW PRODUCTS

On the other hand, taking its place for the 30th time at the IFA held in Berlin, the capital of Germany, Vestel introduced its innovative products produced using sustainable methods at its 3,000 square meter stand.

Stating that they aim to be a technology company that creates social and environmental benefits, Vestel CEO Turan Erdoğan said, “We participated for the 30th time at IFA, consisting of consumer electronics, white goods, smart products, electric vehicle chargers, professional displays, automotive and battery solutions. We are introducing our new product range to the whole world.”
