‘Blue Moon’ returns

WALL – The legendary 80’s comedy detective series Blue Moon (Moonlighting), starring Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis, returns to the screen after many years. The creator of the series, Glenn Gordon Caron, announced on Twitter that the series will be re-released on a digital platform.

Caron said in his statement, “The job of preparing all 5 seasons of Moonlighting, starring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd, has now begun. This is an ambitious project. It is very fragmented. And it may take quite a long time. But I wanted you to know first.” Caron stated that it is not yet clear on which platform and when the series will be broadcast.

MUSIC COULD NOT BE RELEASED DUE TO COPYRIGHTS PROBLEM

The expectation is that Blue Moon may air on Disney+ or Hulu. Music copyrights were behind the reason why the series was not broadcast on any platform until now.

Earlier this year Caron; Disney executives’ biggest problem with the release of the series; He stated that the series contains a lot of music, that these licenses were not obtained at the time, and that this cost would be too high now.

Blue Moon, which tells the adventures of former model Maddie Hayes and witty detective David Addison, aired on ABC television between March 1985 and May 1989 for a total of 66 episodes. It was broadcast on TRT 1 on Friday nights in Turkey. (CULTURE ART SERVICE)
