KILLED AT LEAST 22 CHILDREN

Noting that 22 children have been confirmed dead so far, the police stated that 5 personnel, including an 8-month pregnant teacher, had been shot.

Eyewitnesses said dozens of blood-soaked bodies were scattered inside and around the building.

However, the suspect has been identified as Panya Khamrap, who was fired from the police post last year after failing a drug test and is set to appear in court tomorrow.

Police Spokesperson Achayon Kraithong said Khramp opened fire in the early afternoon in the center of the town of Uthai Sawan in Nong Bua Lamphu province.

A government spokesman said the prime minister had warned all institutions to take action.

Thai media announced that the attacker killed himself, his child and his wife.
