The minimum wage, which increased in July in Turkey, increased by 54.66 percent as of December before January and was determined as 8 thousand 506 liras. In this process, after the officialization of the minimum wage to be applied in the new year, social support payments related to the minimum wage increased. According to this, support payments are also made to citizens who have no income and have been laid off by the Social Security Institutions.

Unemployment salaries, which are among the supports given by the state in Turkey in recent years, have increased to levels that can be obtained by applying through İŞKUR. In this process, unemployment pension payments also show a great change compared to insurance payments. In this process, unemployment pensions up to 40 percent of the average gross earnings of the employees are paid by the state.
In Turkey, the current unemployment salary payments are not paid more than 80 percent of the gross minimum wage. With the new year’s increase in the minimum wage, the lowest unemployment monthly payments increased to 3 thousand 48 liras per month. The highest unemployment benefit payments were 7 thousand 885 liras.
HOW TO GET UNEMPLOYMENT MONEY?
Details on how to benefit from unemployment benefits made by the Ministry have also become clear. Accordingly, citizens who fulfill the following conditions will be able to receive payment.
- 1) Being unemployed without his own will and fault,
- 2) To be subject to a service contract for the last 120 days before the end of the service contract,
- 3) To have paid unemployment insurance premium for at least 600 days in the last three years before the termination of the service contract,
- 4) To apply to the nearest İŞKUR unit in person or electronically within 30 days after the termination of the service contract.
Citizens who go to İŞKUR and fill out the form will be able to receive their payments via PTT if they get approval.
