83% of Ukrainians want to join NATO

Ukrainian support for NATO membership breaks record

According to data from Rating Group, a Kyiv-based opinion polling company, 83% of Ukrainians want their country to join NATO.

The poll, with 2,000 respondents on 1-2 October by the Rating Group, was conducted after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced on Friday that Ukraine has submitted an expedited application for NATO membership.

The percentage of supporters of NATO membership is the highest ever recorded in a survey in Ukraine, the Rating Group said. While 4 percent of the participants were against joining NATO, 9 percent did not make a choice.

RUSSIA’S ANNEXATION OF 4 UKRAINIAN REGIONS

Russian President Putin; He declared that Zaporizhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk regions were now included in Russia.

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, stated that “they continue to work and liberate Ukrainian lands” regarding Russia’s annexation of 4 regions belonging to Ukraine.

US President Biden, on the other hand, in his first statement after the decision, used the expressions “Russia violates international law, the world should reject this illegal annexation attempt”.
